Here's a great example of a well-maintained, one owner, always garaged 1973 Beetle with just 78K miles. Owner is deceased, so the Bug needs a good home.

Registered in California through December 2008. Clear title in hand, ready to sell.

The photos tell the story: here's the link to hi-res photos on SF Craigslist:

This VW runs like new, as it should - the owner invested more than $5,000 into it over the last 1,600 miles. See photos at the link above for scans of the receipts - you can see how much has been done to keep it running tip-top: new clutch, carburator, steering box, seals (including the main seal), manifold gaskets, brakes all around, fuel gauge, voltage regulator, and more.

This Beetle presents well, with shiny paint and chrome accents. The interior needs a little work, but not much - a kit to repair the seats and headliner runs just a few hundred dollars. Photos below show the bottom cushions that the repair kit would fix. The rear seat is missing its bottom cushion: the owner removed it so the seatback would fold to create a flat floor. The base floors have some rust but are generally solid. The sunroof flips up for ventilation and comes with a clip-in shade. This Bug also has a surprisingly strong heater, which may have been an upgrade.

$5000 or best offer. Please view the photos below, and feel free to call Dennis with any questions - 415-621-7285, or email at drpiper@prodigy.net.
