hello, If things go right, i may be the new owner of a 76 westy, with the 2.0L engine, and dual carb conversion. What I'd like to know is what is the gear ratio (R&P) and what kind of torque does it put out in FI form? any tips or tricks are very welcome. I used to have a '71 baja and have caught the VW fever yet once again.

Hey! That 2.0 is a nice set-up. I'm running the FI 2.0 in my 78. The power is pretty impressive, for what it is anyway. Mine's got the full camper and runs 75 easily on the highway.
Go here: http://www.ratwell.com/technical/FAQ.html
You'll find all the answers you need for your Bay. He's got a section on final drive and R/P ratios.
