Details?  You can get parts from a numbers of places, but do you mean online or walk-in, performance, stock, body work, electrical, what exactly?  --Ryan

Hi axelbrown Welcome to the world of VW.  For a new VW man starting out the best bit of information that you can have is to check out CIP1.com and explore their on-line catalogue.  Better yet, spring for a single dollar and buy the good old fashioned paper catalogue.  They cover over 300 pages of just about everything you would want, stock parts, custom parts, performance parts, wierd little bushings and on and on.  I wish that I had known about them when I first started my restoration.  If they don't have it, check your local Bug club.  They can set you up or at least put you onto a source.  Above all remember that you are working with  a vehicle with legendary parts availability at prices that make other restorers green with envy.  I spoke with a guy at a car show who had paid $500 for  a rare Lincoln bumper and another $1000 to make it showable grade.  I paid $75 for my high grade Bug bumper and had it delivered brand new in one week!  Enjoy your car and pass along the VW spirit.   Dan ( MY72BUG) in Goderich, Ont.
I'd rather have a partial bottle in front of me than a partial frontal lobotomy.
