What is the best way to lower the rear of a '67 bug?

there are two ways to lower the rear of a bug, first way is to reindex the spring plates, second is to install rear torsion adjusters but this requires cutting and welding of the rear torsion tubes here is a link to one of several places to get adjusters http://www.bugsandbuggies.com/Parts.asp?CN=925&SN=92&GN=8&Subgroup=Torsion+Bars%2C+Caps+and+Adjusters&RefPage=Sway-A-Way

The first is the cheaper and easier, When I find a link on reindexing I'l post it, unless someone else has it at hand.
