I heard that you can send your body and motor numbers in to someplace in Germany to verify your bug. I was told that they will send you a certificate listing the original color, location purchased etc... Does anyone know anything about this?

To get a copy of this "Birth Certificate," send the Museum your VIN number and a request a birth certificate.
